What Happened To Secretariat Battery-Run Autos?
X
It's an another case of the Tax Payers money getting misused or wasted if officials are negligent. Battery-run Auto Rickshaws have been arranged by AP Government for the convenience of employees and visitors to Secretariat in Amaravati. Lakhs of rupees have been spent for procuring these three-wheelers by Capital Development Regional Authority (CRDA). Unfortunately, The battery-run Autos became useless within an year. This happened due to lack of proper supervision and maintenance.

After Secretariat began functioning in a full-fledged manner, About 12 battery-run Autos were introduced grandly in the New Capital. While four of the them are 11 seater, eight are with four seats capacity. Right now, Only two 11 seater and two 4 seater autos are in working condition. Remaining eight autos have been parked in the backside of the secretariat.

Senior Citizens and Handicapped are facing difficulties to walk from Secretariat main gate to actual structure. CRDA Officials say, 'As these Autos are advanced, It's not easy to find those who could repair them. Very soon, We would bring them into working condition'.
