BCCI Eyeing On Empty Stadiums To Hold IPL

Amid this, the BCCI is eyeing to host the tournament in empty stadiums if the event is conducted in this year.BCCI President, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly sent letters to the boards in this regard and is optimistic about the tournament.
The BCCI is not leaving any stone unturned to conduct the tournament and the option to host the tournament in empty stadiums is also ok with the cricket board. This shows the willingness of the board on IPL.
Indian Premier League(IPL) is the biggest money-spinner for the board. If IPL won't get commenced this year, BCCI is likely to lose around Rs 4,000 crore for media rights alone.
