BCCI New President to be elected on This Date!
BCCI has called for a Special General Meeting (SGM) on October 4th to elect its new President post the sudden demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya. It's more or less official that Nagpur-based Lawyer Shashank Manohar will be the next President of the richest Cricket Board in the World.

Anurag Thakur, BCCI Secretary, informed that scrutiny of the nominations filed by people in BCCI Chief's race will be done on October 3rd and SGM will be held in Mumbai. He declares Shashank Manohar is likely to be elected unanimously without any election.

Mr.Thakur makes it clear former BCCI President N Srinivasan can't attend the meeting but he is free to casting his vote if an election takes place. Srinivasan's eligibility on attending BCCI Meeting will come up for hearing in Supreme Court on October 5th.

Shashank Manohar served as BCCI Chief from 2008 to 2011. His clean image and stand against corruption fetched him the top post for second time.
