The Men In Blue led by Rohit Sharma entered the Ais Cup as defending champions. Unfortunately, India was knocked out of the tournament. Now India is focusing on the upcoming big event, which is the T20 World Cup. Australia will host the tournament and the mega tournament will be held next month.

The BCCI announced the team for the T20 World Cup tournament. The team looks balanced with seniors and youngsters. Team India is going for the tournament with two wicket-keepers. Dinesh Karthik and Rishab Pant were picked as wicket-keeper batsmen. Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who missed the Asia Cup were included in the list.

It is known that Ravindra Jadeja is suffering from an injury. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel will be fitting into the all-rounder category. Missing Jadeja is a big loss for India and we have to wait and see how Patel and Pandya would bring balance.

In the Asia Cup, the spin attack of India did not make any impact. To overcome this, three spinners were selected for the T20 Tournament. Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, and Ravichandran Ashwin were selected under the spinners category. Ashwin's experience would come in handy.

Despite failing in the Asia Cup, KL Rahul was given another chance. The likes of Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (VC), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, R Pant (WK), Dinesh Karthik (WK), and Hardik Pandya will take care of the batting department. Experienced Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvenshwar will be the backbone of the bowling attack.
