BCCI Turns Alert after IPL Franchise Bus Attacked!

The countdown for the tournament has begun as the tournament will be started in less than 10 days. Maharashtra will host the tournament and four venues have been finalised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
A tense situation arose in Maharashtra when a special bus that was supposed to carry the players of a franchise was attacked. The incident was reported from the financial capital Mumbai and the issue was taken to the notice of the concerned police station.
Reports say that the bus which was attacked in Mumbai belongs to the Delhi Capitals team. The attacked bus was parked outside the hotel. Reports say that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena was behind this attack. Unhappy with the teams hiring the buses from other places, they attacked the bus.
Alleging that they were finding it hard to get employment and jobs and despite this, the teams are hiring buses from other states. The members of the body had alleged that hiring buses from other states are hindering the employment chances of locals.
Upon receiving a complaint on the issue, the Colaba Police rushed to the spot and brought the tense situation under control. As many as five people were arrested by the cops in the issue. A case under sections 143,147,149,427 of IPC has been booked against the accused. The investigation is underway and further details are awaited.
Though no one was injured in the alleged attack, several questions are being raised on whether the IPL will be hosted in Maharashtra or not. The way the accused barged into a posh hotel and attacked the luxury bus had raised many eyeballs.
The cricket governing body Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) is said to have turned alert on the issue and had talks with the concerned officials.
All the arrangements for the matches for IPL in the picked venues have been made and any changes to the venues at the last moment will cause trouble to the fans. We have to wait and see how the BCCI will deal with the situation now.
