AP Tourism Minister Akhila Priya made it clear she isn't the one who would either withdraw any challenge or backtrack on the promise made. Ahead of the launch of 'Praja Ashirwada Yatra' by TDP Candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy in Nandyal, The first-time Minister paid floral tributes to her Father Bhuma Nagireddy & Brother's Brahmananda Reddy's Father at the Bhuma Ghat.
Speaking to media, Akhila Priya said: 'I will resign to Ministry if TDP faces defeat in Nandyal by-poll. I would even offer my resignation letter to Speaker if such a situation arise. That's going to be my stand!'.
Akhila Priya took potshots at YSR Congress candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy accusing him of not fulfilling his promise of quitting politics if he faces defeat in 2014 Polls while contesting against Bhuma Nagireddy. 'Look...Shilpa who doesn't keep his promises is throwing a counter-challenge. Let him clarify why he didn't quit politics after defeat in 2014 Polls. Then, I will respond! We have the blessings of Bhuma Nagireddy. Victory for TDP in the by-election is certain to happen,' she exudes confidence.
