As the Nandyal by-election has ended, Focus shifted to the Market Yard Chairman post in the town. Minister Akhila Priya and Adinarayana Reddy have been lobbying for ensuring that only their loyalists bag the post.
While Akhila Priya make it clear that the person to whom her Father Bhuma Nagireddy made a promise should get Market Yard Chairman post, Adinarayana Reddy in firm on his stand that the person recommended by him should be rewarded for striving hard for Nandyal by-election victory.
Shilpa Mohan Reddy's Close Aide Sidda Sivaram served as Nandyal Market Yard Chairman for one-and-a-half year. But, His tenure wasn't extended after Bhuma Nagireddy joined TDP. Bhuma recommended the post for one of his Followers (Seelam Bhaskar Reddy or Munagala Lakshmikanth Reddy) but CM kept the post vacant since one year. Whereas, Adinarayana Reddy promised to offer the same post for either K Gurunath Reddy or Sainath Reddy. TDP Leaders gained votes by offering Market Yard Chairman post to few aspirants.
In addition, Former Minister Farooq promised to offer Market Yard Chairman post to his Follower. Ex-Counsellor Chintala Subbanayudu claims CM promised to offer this post to him. Too many aspirants could lead to group wars in the TDP.
