Politicians or Political Parties who realized the importance of media have launched their own dailies & news channels in the past. YS Jagan have Sakshi Channel & Newspaper to aggressively promote YSR Congress. Some time ago, There was news about Botsa Satyanarayana acquiring an already existing channel & YCP MP Mithun Reddy getting ready to launch a channel. However, These proposals didn't materialize so far.
As per latest update, Bhuma Nagireddy's Younger Daughter Bhuma Mounika have plans to launch a news channel. She pursued Mass Communications in Australia. So, She wishes to reach a good position in Journalism.
Having two ruling party MLAs in the family will come in handy for Bhuma Mounika. Getting all the necessary clearances won't be a big deal as TDP & BJP will be in power for two more years. Already, There are 20-odd Telugu channels. Where does the new channel floated by Bhuma's Daughter stand?
