'Nandyal worse than RK Nagar'

Election Commission had postponed the by-election of RK Nagar Constituency (represented by late Jayalalithaa) in Tamil Nadu after ruling AIADMK bribed voters for the victory of party's deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran. Even O Panneerselvam's Camp had tried to influence the voters with money, liquor and freebies. EC acted tough after Tamil Nadu Ministers were caught red-handed distributing unaccounted money to the voters.
In AP, Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagireddy passed away and by-election is scheduled to happen here within few weeks. While Ruling TDP has been treating by-poll as Semi Final for 2019 Election, YSRC took it as a matter of prestige. Both the leading parties have announced their candidate and begun campaigning even before election notification was issued.
YSRC Chief Secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy opined 6 crore people have got an opportunity to teach a lesson to Chandrababu Naidu in the form of Nandyal by-poll. He said people are keen to offer victory of YCP Candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy as a first gift to Yuva Neta. 'Ruling Party is trying to deceive voters again with false promises. All the Ministers have been camping in Nandyal itself out of fear of facing defeat and they have been behaving like street rowdies. Cops have been targeting YSRC Leaders and Cadre. Situation in Nandyal is worse than RK Nagar. Cash Bags could be found at the houses of any TDP Leader in the constituency. Babu is trying win by-poll not with development but by using ill-gotten money'.
