Big Blow to Jagan: 2 MPs to join TDP!
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 May 2014 9:10 AM GMTAs expected, YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is going to have a tough time for the next 5 years sitting in Opposition.
Nadhyala YSRC MP SPY Reddy met chief minister-designate Chandrababu Naidu at AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday morning. He even officially joined Telugu Desam Today in the presence of party president.
Speaking to media persons, SPY Reddy claimed he joined TDP in the best interest of Nadhyala constituency as his given more importance to welfare of people than party. Mr.Reddy went on to say he won in recent polls only with his individual charisma and good-will in his constituency. He also expressed confidence over wining with a huge majority in by-polls even if he was disqualified as MP.
Kurnool MP Butta Renuka's husband Nilakantam too joined TDP on Sunday. This move is sending the indication that even Renuka will be shifting loyalties to Chandrababu Naidu in a day or two.
In Kurnool district alone, Two MPs and 3-4 YSR Congress MLAs were making plans to quit the party within 10 days after results were announced. What would be the situation of Jagan if there are similar trends in other Seemandhra districts?
