Big blow to Sabitha Indra Reddy
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 April 2014 5:54 AM GMTCentral Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday requested a special court here to include the name of former Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy as an accused in connection with the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) case. The agency filed a memo in the Principal Special Court for CBI Cases including her as the 8th accused.
CBI mentioned Sabitha Indra Reddy was responsible for sanctioning mining leases to OMC on Antaragangamma Konda at Obulapuram in Anantapur district. She violated all the procedures laid down to provide undue benefits to Gali Janardhan Reddy's mining company.
This reports came to light a day after Congress high command denied Sabitha party ticket to contest in upcoming polls. However, Sabitha's son will be contesting from Chevella Lok Sabha segment on Congress ticket.
