The grand old party Congress is facing a severe crisis. On top of back-to-back election defeats, strong leaders who have been with the party are either turning into rebels or leaving the party. The likes of Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Kabil Sibal left the party giving a big shock to the leadership.
Joining the list Jaiveer Shergill also shocked the historic party. News reports say that he is not happy with the party leadership and test why he took the shocking decision. While stepping down he reportedly made some interesting comments.
News Agency ANI said that Jaiveer Shergill accused the party and leadership of not focusing on taking decisions that favour people and the decisions that are taken by the party are for the interests of the individuals. He accused the party leadership of not focusing on the ground reality.
"It pains me to say that decision-making is no longer for interests of public & country,rather it's influenced by the self-serving interests of individuals indulging in sycophancy & consistently ignoring on-ground reality", News Agency ANI quoted Jaiveer Shergill as saying.
When the Congress party is focusing on bringing back the lost glory and appointing many leaders in key posts, the leaders are leaving the party. A few leaders who have been traveling with the party already left the party and the National Spokesman of the party joined the list and gave a jolt to the Congress party.
