Biggest disasters of Tollywood in 2013
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Dec 2013 5:36 AM GMTAs the year 2013 is coming to an end soon, let's have a close look at the disasters delivered by Tollywood babus.
1) Toofan - This film which was supposed to be a launching flick of Ram Charan as Angry Young Man in Bollywood offered nightmares to everyone who have seen it. Made with a huge budget of over Rs 70 crore, Toofan has got nothing to offer to the Telugu audience and thus failed to recover even half of the budget.
2) Shadow - A Rs 30 crore-plus budget for a senior hero is always a risky attempt and Meher Ramesh has done exactly the same mistake. Director's inability to keep the audience on the edge of their seats despite pouring crores on action sequences and weak story-screenplay made this movie a colossal flop.
3) Bhai - We knew Nagarjuna is hardly drawing the people to the theatres no matter how much effort he has been putting these days. Films like Rajanna, Damarukam shows he can't handle solo hero projects any more. Bhai made it clear yet again.
4) Ongole Gitta - The film which was supposed to be a comeback vehicle of both Ram and Bommarillu Bhaskar landed them in more troubles. Though Bhaskar came up with a nice characterization for villian's role, he failed to create the same impact with other characters in the movie. Even Ram's energy and Kriti's glamour failed to save the film.
5) OM 3D & Action 3D - 3D Effects work only when there are right kind of emotions in the movie to make the movie watching experience memorable. Makers of OM 3D & Action 3D missed this point and evetually burnt their hands with over Rs 25 crore (each) production cost.
