The ace philanthropist Bill Gates had expressed his concerns over the Omicron scare and issued a warning that the world might face the worst part of the pandemic. Taking to Twitter, the Microsoft co-founder said, keeping the situation in mind, he made a few changes in his plans, and a few plans have been canceled.

Putting his thoughts together, Bill Gates made a thread of tweets and urged everyone that the situations might change quickly and the world might face the worst part of the crisis.

Starting the series of Tweets highlighting how the Omicron emerged in the world when everything seems under control, Bill Gates opined that the variant might enter almost every country in the world. Saying that a few of his close friends have also come in contact with the new variant.

Bill Gates stressed the importance of wearing facemasks, maintaining physical distance, staying away from gatherings, and taking booster doses. He spoke highly about the vaccine doses and urged everyone to take up the vaccine doses.

He concluded his series of tweets by saying that there is good news with the Omicron as the variant won't sustain for more than three months after it gets dominant in the nation. The pandemic will end one day and a good time will come soon if we work together, he said.

''Just when it seemed like life would return to normal, we could be entering the worst part of the pandemic. Omicron will hit home for all of us. Close friends of mine now have it, and I've canceled most of my holiday plans,'' Bill Gates tweeted.

''In the meantime, we all have to look out for each other, especially the most vulnerable, whether they live down the street or in another country. That means wearing masks, avoiding big indoor gatherings, and getting vaccinated. Getting a booster gives the best protection,'' his other tweet reads.

''I know it's frustrating to go into another holiday season with COVID looming over us. But it won't be like this forever. Someday the pandemic will end, and the better we look after each other, the sooner that time will come,'' he added.
