While one is not sure whether BJP candidate from Nagarjunasagar Ravi Naik will win the bypoll, one is pretty sure that the candidate from the tribal community is making waves. His videos are going viral and are drawing the attention in not just Nagarjunasagar but also across the state.
Ravi Naik was chosen by the BJP as he belongs to the tribal community that is present in considerable numbers in the constituency. While the Congress is banking on the reddy community and the TRS on the Yadav community, the BJP depended on the tribal community votes. But, curiously, the BJP top brass and star campaigners are yet to enter the field and reach out to the voters. As a result, Ravi Naik is waging a lone battle. To woo the voters, he has cried, shed tears and begged the voters to support him at one place, while he danced to the beats of the DJ in another. Both the videos have gone viral on the social media. Ravi Naik's intent seems to be to grab the attention of the voters.
As of now, the BJP's star campaigners have not focused on Nagarjunasagar. The party appears quite demoralized after the Graduate MLC constituency election reversal, where favourite BJP candidate N Ramachandra Rao has lost the poll battle to TRS candidate Surabhi Vani Devi.
