Is TRS trying to Paint BJP guilty of Rakesh's Death?
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Jun 2022 10:09 AM GMTIt is known that the protests against the Agnipath scheme led to a disaster. Talking about the Secunderabad protests, the cops fired at the angry protestors to bring the situation under control. If not for the firing, the situation would have been even worse as the railway station was vandalized and train coaches have been burnt already.
One protester lost his life in the gun firing while many victims sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the state-run hospital for treatment. The deceased was identified as Rakesh, an army aspirant who got inspiration from his sister. He hails from Narsampet.
The TRS party came in support of the deceased and his family was promised an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakhs and a government job. A few leaders including Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao took part in the last journey and funeral procession of the youth who wanted to join the army.
As an unwanted development, a few who took part in the protest went on a rampage and attacked the BSNL office and a flexi board was burnt. Flexis against the union government appeared in the protests as the protestors held the same in their hands.
After reaching the BSNL office, the mob turned violent and started pelting stones at the office. A few media persons who were present there shot the video that shows people holding TRS flags pelting stones at the office of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) at Warangal.
It has been widely reported that the TRS party which is waging war against the BJP is reportedly trying to use the issue to attack the BJP. Reacting to the issue, the TS CMO reportedly blamed the union government for the Agnipath scheme. The TRS leaders met the family members of the deceased and demanded the Centre withdraw the vehicle.
Adding fuel to this, the vehicle which carried Rakesh's body had TRS flags and flexis. The funeral procession saw anti-BJP and anti-Prime Minister slogans holding the union government. All these factors made the issue turn political. One wonders why the BSNL office was attacked which has nothing to do with the protest.
The way TRS leaders and cadre participated in the last journey and funeral procession and targeted the Centre gave birth to a new doubt if TRS wants to paint BJP as guilty of Rakesh's death.
