After stepping his leg into Punjab and emerging victorious, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is now focusing on establishing himself as a national leader. He is ending hints that he might be the Prime Minister's face if everything goes well. The Chief Minister is also touring Gujarat, BJP's stronghold.
Amid this, the saffron party is trying hard to prove that AAP is doing all the wrong things. Recently, the BJP raised the alleged liquor scam issue and the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister also faced CBI raids. The liquor scam is increasing the political heat in other states as well.
Now the Delhi government has another thing to worry about as the alleged bus purchase scam came into the limelight. Reports say that the probe into this was launched and the Delhi government might face a tough time with the probe. The Delhi government recently purchased 1,000 low-floor buses and there might be wrongdoings.
Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena reportedly gave his nod for the probe. Needless to say, the issue took a political turn with the AAP government alleging that there might be a political angle behind the allegation and the probe.
The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) was reportedly assigned the probe. The central agency will look into the purchases to see if there are any irregularities or not. If the allegations get proved then it will be a big headache for the government. The AAP is alleging that BJP wants to target him with the alleged probe.
