BJP is making people carry footwear on our heads: CPI Narayana!
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Dec 2021 12:20 PM GMTCPI national secretary K Narayana, who had flayed the Union government on various occasions had once again lashed out at the Centre. He breathed fire on the government over the decision it had taken on implementing the Goods and Services Tax(GST) on a widely used product.
Narayana asked how come the government imposed GST on footwear. The GST is adding troubles to people and the new tax on footwear is not appreciable. Common people cannot wear footwear with the GST taxes.
To protest against the proposal to add GST on footwear, Narayana came up with a unique idea. He carried his footwear on his head and said, this is the situation of common people as the cost would increase with the new tax. He accused the BJP of indulging in communal politics.
He had breathed fire on BJP for making demands to change the names of the famous monuments and called it communal. What is making the party pass such objectionable and irrelevant comments, Narayana asked.
He also expressed his shock over the fact that no uproar was created with AP BJP Chief Somu Veerraju's comments on the demand to change the names of Jinnah Tower Centre in Guntur and King George Hospital in Vizag.
