Who called Mamata Banerjee a Hijra?

West Bengal BJP Leader Shyam Mondal dared to call state's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a 'Hijra' at a recent party meeting.
Addressing the party cadre at Chandrakona in West Midnapore district, Shyam Mondal said: 'Does Hindus need to prove they are Hindus when they visit temples? Does Muslims need to prove they are Muslims when they offer namaz at a mosque? Hindus are ashamed to see Mamata Banerjee offer namaz. It's unclear whether she is a man or woman. If anyone claims to have spotted a hijra in Banaras, I would say them that it's none other than Mamata'.
BJP unsuccessfully attempted to dethrone Mamata Banerjee during the West Bengal assembly polls. May be, The comments of Shyam Mondal could be an attempt to gain some political mileage in the state by sending an indication that Mamata can't represent Hindus. Whereas, TMC Leaders opined BJP's tricks won't work in Bengal and people will teach it a lesson. Even BJP West Bengal Chief Dilip Ghosh didn't approve the controversial remarks of Shyam Mondal.
