Subramanyam Swamy Slams BJP On TTD Overaction

Support to AP Government on TTD issue came from an unexpected quarter. BJP's strongest pro Hindutwa leader Subramanya Swami has come out strongly in support of AP Government on the sale of the TTD lands.
He said that it was the TDP Government which has planned to sell of the lands and BJP leader Bhanuprakash Reddy, who was a board member at that time, was party to the registration. BJP leader Manikyala Rao was the endowments minister at that time. They had supported the proposal to auction the lands. Why are they changing tune now, asked Subramanyam Swamy. He said the whole plan to rake up a controversy was hatched by Chandrababu Naidu. "Why did Chandrababu want to sell the lands off in 2016 and why is he opposing now," asked Subramanyam Swamy.
Interestingly, he has also found fault with the BJP leaders who are now making a hue and cry over the sale of the lands. He said Bhanuprakash Reddy was member of the committee formed to study on the ways and means to sell off the lands. He was part of the last meeting of the committee held on January 29, 2016. Later, a resolution was passed in the TTD, he reminded. Swamy's strong attack has come as a huge shock for the BJP leaders.
