BJP luring TRS leaders into party, Eatala leading the charge

The BJP has gone hyper active in Telangana. It is now trying to organise an âOperation Akarshâ on he ruling TRS. Much to the chagrin of the TRS, several of its leaders, who have been denied tickets in the MLC elections, are said to be in touch with the BJP. Also shocking is the fact that one-time TRS biggie Eatala Rajender, who knows the party inside out, is at the centre of this âOperation Akarsh.â
Eatala Rajender, who has several friends in both the TRS and the Congress and DK Aruna, who has deep links in the Congress, are said to be talking to several Congress and the TRS leaders. Interestingly, the response from the TRS leaders is said to be more positive. Several TRS leaders, who lobbied hard for the MLC seat and ended up being ignored by the party leadership , said to be responding positively.
Already Eatala has ensured that the some TRS dissidents rebel and enter the poll fray against the wishes of the ruling party. Former mayor Ravinder Singh and Prabhakar Reddy have filed their nominations as rebel candidates in the local body constituency MLC elections from Karimnagar and Adilabad seats. Eatala is said to be poaching into the votes of the ZPTCs and MPTCs. So worried is the ruling party that it has tucked away its members into camps to stop them from defecting.
In another move, the BJP is also in talks with several small but powerful groups that stood by the TRS in the past. Senior employees leader Vithal is likely to join the BjP soon. Similarly, the party is planning to get Yuva Telangana Party of Rani Rudrama and Jitta Balakrishna Reddy merged into the BJP. Mana Inti Party of Cheruku Sudhakar too is said to be in touch with both the BJP and the Congress. He soon is likely to take a call. So, expect more key joining into the BjP in the coming days.
