BJP May Lose 60 Seats in 2019 LS Polls
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Dec 2017 5:06 AM GMTIn 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, NDA won 336 out of 543 seats to form the Government. BJP alone won 10 seats more than the Magic Figure (282 seats).
As per estimates, BJP is likely to lose 60 Lok Sabha seats in 2019. The Saffron Party will face a huge challenge if its alliance partners (TDP, Shiv Sena, Akali Dal, Lok Jana Sakthi) don't win sufficient seats. Hence, Modi is focusing on increasing the bench strength. While maintaining good relations with AIADMK, He consoled DMK's Karunanidhi and Centre's role in his Daughter Kanimozhi's acquittal from 2G Case has been suspected now. BJP is even looking at the possibility of forming alliance with YCP though it's still an alliance partner of TDP.
At the same time, Narendra Modi has befriended Nitish Kumar (Bihar), KCR (Telangana) and Naveen Patnaik (Odisha) to overcome any kind of challenges.
The going is gonna be tough for BJP from 2019 Polls if its strength falls below the Magic Figure. Few Alliance Partners might even distance the National Party if Modi's popularity declines
