A BJP Legislator was caught on camera slapping a Constable inside the police station at Udaynagar, Madhya Pradesh.
Police Constable Santosh Ivnati had an issue with BJP MLA Champalal Devda's Son regarding an undisclosed incident. Enraged over it, The Legislator stormed into the Udaynagar police station along with his Supporters and slapped the constable twice. This physical assault was recorded in the CCTV Footage installed in the police station.
A Case was booked against the BJP Legislator and his supporters under Sections 353 (preventing government servant from doing his duty) and 332 (assaulting public servant) of IPC.
BJP is yet to take any action against MLA Champalal Devda despite having substantial evidence. Suspension of such Lawmaker from party could send a strong message. Can Modi do that?
