Thalaivi actress Kangana Ranaut, who is making sensational comments of late, has done it yet again and made everyone wonder why such comments are coming from her at regular intervals. Speaking at a conclave, Kangana said, India got independence not in 1947, but in 2014.

This did not go down well with a lot of people including BJP rebel MP Varun Gandhi who blasted the actress for her comments. The Legislator was not impressed with the actress for insulting the freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi and others. Varun Gandhi wondered if he should see this as the madness of Kangana.

Going into details, Kangana Ranaut was one of the guests at Times Now Summit. At the conclave, Kangana Ranaut said, the Congress party is nothing but an extension of British rule. Nothing stopping there, she said India got the real independence in 2014 and the independence India got in 1947 was bheek. Bheek translates to alms in English.

Lashing out at controversial actress Kangana Ranaut, Varun Gandhi opined that Kangana Ranaut's opinion on the freedom country is nothing but an insult to the sacrifice made by the freedom fighters like Mangal Pandey, Rani Laxmibai, Bhagat Singh, and lakhs of people who fought for the freedom.

On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party also condemned Kangana Ranaut's claims on freedom and moved the Police station in Mumbai against her in this regard. Accusing the actress of making sedation remarks, a police complaint was lodged.

Preethi Menon, AAP's National executive chairman took to Twitter to announce that a complaint was registered with the cops against Kangana Ranaut finding fault with the comments made by the actress.

"Submitted an application to @MumbaiPolice requesting action on Kangana Ranaut for her seditious and inflammatory statements on @TimesNow, under sections 504, 505 and 124A. Hope to see some action @CPMumbaiPolice @DGPMaharashtra," the APP member tweeted.

Kangana Ranaut was in the news earlier too for such remarks and opinions. Recently, she was in the news by paying respects to controversial freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as veer Savarkar. Calling Savarkar a brave personality, Kangana said they used chains to lock him which shows how the Britishers feared him.
