Prophet Row: BJP MP Highlights Reason behind Sharma's Comments!

Just like the Ayodhya dispute, the Gyanvapi dispute is also centuries old and both Hindus and Muslims are fighting over it. Both sides are claiming that they are right and accusing the other side. People started to talk about the issue when a commission was permitted to survey the complex.
After a Shivling was reportedly found in the survey, the same was informed to the court. The Right-wing groups started celebrating the news. Countering this, many MPs and secularists started taking a dig at founding Shivling by sharing pictures of a fountain. Amid this, a debate was held on national Television.
During the debate, the National spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party Nupur Sharma, and Delhi wing media head Naveen Jindal lost their cool and made objectionable comments on Prophet Mohammed. Nupur Sharma’s comments on Prophet Mohammed's marriage created a global stir with the Islamist countries questioning BJP on this.
Looking at the global outrage, the BJP had swung into action and removed Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal from their respective posts. While doing so, the saffron party said that it has equal; respect for all religions and it will not tolerate such behavior. The ongoing controversy had started a new debate on what will be the future of India's ties with the Arab nations.
India is highly dependent on other nations for fuel. Though India imports crude oil from Russia, it is equally dependent on Arab nations as well. If the controversy escalates then India has to face the heat. To escape the same the BJP took the tough decision of removing the leaders.
Amid this, Lawyer-turned-politician Mahesh Jethmalani, who is serving as the nominated Rajya Sabha MP from the saffron party had jumped to the rescue of Nupur Sharma. As he is a lawyer by profession, he shed light on the reason that triggered comments from the BJP leader.
Saying that Nupur Sharma's comments are insensitive, Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Jethmalani defended her in this row and said the comments were made out of provocation. Talking like a true lawyer, the MP said that due to provocation at the debate Nupur Sharma made those comments.
