A BJP Rajya Sabha member made the entire nation look at him by writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to replace Rabindranath Tagore's National anthem with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army (INA) version.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and nominated Member of Rajya Sabha Subramanian Swamy has come up with a suggestion to the Prime Minister over amending the National anthem.

The Rajya Sabha member took to microblogging site Twitter to share the pictures of the letter he has written to the Prime Minister to replace the letter in Jana Gana Mana.

In the letter, he maintained that words like Sindh in the national anthem raise unnecessary doubts and these words are inappropriate for India post Independence in 1947.

He termed the suggestion to amend the Nationa anthem as an outstanding demand of patriots who fought and sacrificed for the Independence of the country from the British imperialists rule.

The national anthem Jana Gana Mana was penned down by Rabindra Nath Tagore which was sung publicly on the 27th of December 1911 at the Indian National Congress's Calcutta session.

The Indian National Army has sung the Jana Gana Mana, known as 'Shubh Sukh Chain'. The version is believed to have been adapted from Rabindra Nath Tagore's Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhaata. While Subhash Chandra Bose translated the song to Hindi, Captain Ram Singh tuned it.
