By: Tupaki Desk | 17 March 2020 2:38 PM GMTCorona has its impact on the BJP parliamentary party meet held on Tuesday. Starting from Prime Minister Narendra Modi down to the MPs have just said Namaste with folded hands. There were no hugs and shaking of hands. Everyone kept a safe distance from the other. All the MPs were subjected to thermal screening and were allowed into the venue only after making sure that they had no temperature.
MP Rajkumar Chahar was the special attraction at the meet as he wore a cap which had "Karo Na Hand-shake. Karo Namaste (Don't shake hands, say Namaste) written on it. Several MPs have pleaded with the prime minister for an early closure of the Parliament session so that they can go to their constituencies and monitor the Corona control measures. The prime minister requested them to work to create awareness among the general public about the virus and on how to control its spread.
In his speech Modi praised the efforts of the doctors and the medical staff in fighting Corona. He called upon the people to take adequate precautions to ensure that the contagion does not spread.
