BJP On Cloud Nine With Supreme's Verdict On Demonetisation!

In the New Year the BJP-led Union Government got a major sigh of relief as the Supreme Court supported the decision the party took a few years back. Hearing a bunch of petitions the Apex Court upheld the controversial decision of the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Central government brought demonetisation in 2016 by withdrawing the existing currency notes. New notes came into existence with that. The way the government canceled the old notes brought severe criticism to the Centre. The opposition parties and critics allege that the decision was taken only to benefit a few rich people.
But the Supreme Court on Monday supported the demonetisation idea and said that there is no need to look for mistakes in this. A bench of the Supreme Court gave the orders.
Without any doubt, the saffron party is on cloud nine with the verdict. The opposition parties pinned high hopes that the Supreme Court would find fault with the decision and slam the Union Government.
A few opposition leaders even felt that there might be a chance of even the Supreme Court overturning the demonetisation. But all that went for a toss and the Apex Court upheld the controversial decision.
The saffron party is celebrating the verdict and is asking critics who opposed the decision and found fault with it would say sorry. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad asked Rahul Gandhi if he would say sorry for the comments he made.
