BJP Plans Bus Yatra In Telangana

The BJP in Telangana is on the upswing. Buoyed up by the recent successes in both Dubbak bypolls and the GHMC elections, the party wants to firm up its position as the main challenger to the ruling TRS.
Realising that the coming four months are crucial for the BJP, the party has decided to undertake a 30-day long bus yatra in Telangana. The yatra will begin on January 17, soon after Sankranthi festivities, from Kondagattu in Karimnagar district and will end at Bhadrachalam. State president Bandi Sanjay will lead the yatra across the north Telangana.
In the coming three to four months, there would be elections to the municipal corporations in Warangal and Khammam and to the municipal councils in Siddipet, Kothur and Amangal, besides MLC elections in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda-Khammam-Karimnagar graduate constituencies. Also, a bypoll to the Nagarjunasagar constituency too would be held. Victories in these elections, will further build the image of the party in a big way. The padayatra would be useful in further boosting the party's image.
