BJP still feels Pawan Kalyan is in its kitty

It is now becoming increasingly clear that Power Star Pawan Kalyan today holds the key AP politics. Which side he aligns with is likely to determine the winner of the 2024 elections. Hence, the TDP has courted him and has ensured that he is on its side. At the same time, the BJP , it appears, has not fully given up on Pawan Kalyan.
The BJP national leadership is said to be still hopeful that its alliance with Pawan Kayan's Jana Sena will continue. The BJP game plan appears to be quite clear. It does not want Chandrababu Naidu to come to power. It wants Chandrababu Naidu to weaken further. It has not forgotten how Chandrababu insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and made his workers attack Amit Shah.
The BJP has reportedly told its state leadership that the alliance with Pawan Kalyan will stay and that both the parties will fight the election in alliance. The national leadership is said to have told the state unit that it should go ahead with the understanding that the alliance would not be broken. But at the same time, it should work to ensure that the TDP is decimated.
If sources are to be believed, the BJP wants to see the TDP lose the next election and disintegrate. The BJP national leadership feels that the party can grow as an alternative to the YSRCP only when the TDP is defeated and decimated. The voters of AP will then look towards the BJP as a credible alternative to the YSRCP.
