BJP Still In No Mood To Forgive Chandrababu
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Oct 2020 3:41 AM GMTIt is now becoming increasingly clear that the Bharatiya Janata Party is not going to forgive the Telugu Desam party anytime soon. The BJP still appears to be miffed with the TDP for what it did in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The top decision makers of the BJP have once again categorically indicated that there is no possibility of the TDP joining the NDA.
The TDP has been making desperate attempts to rejoin the NDA and salvage its political relevance. It has made several overtures to the BJP leadership. Some TDP strategists hoped that the BJP will forget and forgive.but, it appears, the BJP is still unyielding. Responding to the media reports from those close to Chandrababu Naidu, which said that the BJP is inching closer to the TDP, BJP big gun Sunil Deodhar has recently said in no uncertain terms that there is no question of joining hands with the TDP. He said the BJP would maintain equal distance from both the TDP and the YSRCP.
The BjP is deeply unhappy with Chandrababu for the way he funded the Congress Party during the Gujarat assembly elections. Also, he tried to form an anti-BJP alliance at the national level to torment the BJP. He also talked about forming a Federal Front with regional parties. However, the massive victory of the BJP at the national level and the severe drubbing of the TDP has put paid to all such ambitions.
