Leaving the Congress party in a deep shock Former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has quit the party. This development came minutes after the four-time parliamentarian participating in the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah at PM's residence in Delhi.

In his letter which he has written to the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi which was dated to March 9, Jyotiraditya Scindia termed his action as "…this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year".

"While my aim and purpose remain the same as it has always been from the very beginning, to serve the people of my state and country, I believe am unable to do this anymore within this party," his letter read.

His move has left the Congress party in a state of shock as the party is on the edge of a dramatic collapse. Many sources are citing that the former Union Minister might join the BJP party and reportedly he might even get a chance to get nominated to Rajya Sabha.

Sources added that around 20 MLAs from the Congress are ready to quit the party and submit their resignation letter to the Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly by fax pawing a path to topple the 15-month-old Kamal Nath government.

If the government in MP collapses, this will mark the second one since the alliance government of Congress-JDS government in Karnataka has collapsed last year which resulted in a setback to the Congress party.
