India is gearing up to witness another intense political fight in the firm of the Rajya Sabha elections. The polls are scheduled to be commenced on the 10th of next month. As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to foray into the Telugu states it was expected that leaders from the two states might get a chance.

BJP should start from scratch in Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana, it is in opposition. Despite fewer seats, it is giving a tough competition to the ruling party in Telangana, TRS. Giving a chance to the leaders from two states will give a big boost to the political mileage of the party.

Despite all these equations, the BJP shocked the leaders from two Telugu states. As BJP can field 16 candidates across 8 states, no leader from the Telugu states was given a chance. While a few leaders were given a second chance, there is no Telugu leader name on the list.

It appears like the Bharatiya Janata Party is in no mood to support the Telugu leaders though it wants to foray into the states. How the party expects the leaders to strengthen the party in the two states without proper help is the big question here.

Drawing a comparison between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the BJP is strong in Telangana, and giving a chance to a leader from the state would increase the political image of the party. Surprisingly, the BJP has no such intentions reportedly. It would have sent a strong message to the leaders that the party is ready to encourage the leaders.

Earlier, a few names popped up on who might be sent to the Upper House in the forthcoming polls. The political experts have predicted a few names who can get the call from the BJP central leadership. While predicting the names, the experts looked at various parameters.

The list includes Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, who was given a second chance. While Nirmala Sitharaman will contest from Karnataka, Piyush will run the polls from Maharashtra. BJP wants to prove Uttar Pradesh as its stronghold yet again.
