Amid Criticism, Kushboo Sundar Issues An Apology For Her Remarks

Actor-politician Kushboo Sundar who recently bid goodbye to Congress and joined BJP was at the receiving end after her statements on Congress party landed her in a new controversy.
According to some media reports, Kushboo Sundar reportedly called Congress a "mentally retarded" party after leaving the party which created quite a stir over the remarks.
National Platform for the Rights of the Disabled (NPRD) secretary Muralidharan condemned the offensive remarks of the actress and said complaints have been registered in around 30 Police Stations in this regard.
Talking about the offensive remarks, Muralidharan said, Kushboo has the right to make comments on her opponents, but the terms she used which show disability in a negative light are not acceptable.
Amid backlash from NPRD, Kushboo Sundar apologized for the distress caused by her comments and assured that such incidents will not repeat in the future again.
While issuing an apology for her remarks, Kushbo Sundar said her remarks came out of 'haste and anguish'.
