BJP worried that TRS could attack Bandi's yatra over paddy procurement
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 April 2022 5:49 AM GMTThe BJP in Telangana is apprehensive that the ruling TRS will attack party president Bandi Sanjay's padayatra by putting spokes at every step of the way. The TRS workers will stall the yatra and ask the BJP to buy the rabi paddy. It will use the paddy procurement issue to attack the BJP yatra.
The second phase of Bandi Sanjay's padayatra is set to begin from April 14 and will cover the Gadwal Jogulamba district. Party national vice-president DK Aruna is making every effort to make the yatra a success. Sanjay will cover the district intensively and tour the rural interiors. But the party feels that the TRS, which is unnerved by the success of the yatra, would attack the yatra on paddy procurement, the BJP feels.
The party is apprehensive that the TRS would try to incite violence and force the cancellation of the yatra midway. The BjP also feels that the TRS would try to raise the issue of petro fuel price hike. The party could claim that the BJP was doing nothing to control the prices of the fuel, which in turn, is causing a steep rise in the prices of essential commodities.
The BJP feels that yesterday's protests at Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind's residence are indications that the TRS would go ballistic on these issues. Speaking at the party office-bearers meeting, state party president Bandi Sanjay said that he was ready to face stone-pelting from the TRS cadres He said he would forge ahead with his yatra come what may.
