BJP's Plan B for Andhra Pradesh

Is the BJP unveiling its Plan B in Andhra Pradesh? It is quite clear that the BJP wants to grow in Andhra Pradesh and emerge as a credible opposition to the YSRCP. The BJP expected that a majority of the leaders from the TDP will flock to the BJP as TDP seems to have no political future due to the advancing age of its supremo Chandrababu and the inefficiency of Lokesh Babu.
But, due to various reasons, no big name worth the mention has joined the BJP so far. Only those facing some serious ED cases and those with business interests have joined the party. They are mostly from the Rajya Sabha and they are not very popular on ground. Meanwhile, foxy Chandrababu realised the BJP gameplan and took up the sand issue to galvanise his party cadres. This has almost stopped defections from the TDP.
To Chandrababu's advantage, YS Jagan has not opened the gates for the defectors. This leaves the party cadre with only BJP as an alternative. So, with a slew of review meets and some agitational programme, Chandrababu Naidu has managed to contain the exodus from the party for the present. But, it is now learnt that the BJP has a master plan to completely finish off the TDP. Some key leaders like Ganta Srinivasa Rao are being lured into the BjP. But, more than these , the BJP might use its agencies like the Income Tax department, Enforcement Directorate and others to hit at the roots of the TDP finances. Some key moneybags of the party could be arrested. Some of these have close connections with Chandrababu Naidu. This will make the party rank and file jittery and make them flock to the BJP. One has to wait and see what strategies the BJP Central leadership will unveil in AP to demolish TDP completely.
