Bodybuilding Event Makes Political Parties Lock Horns!

Gods and religions have become the most sensitive topics in the country of late. People have to be careful while talking about the topics or else they would face issues. Recently we have seen Bairi Naresh's incident. He had to face the wrath of believers of the Hindu deity Ayyappa.
As another example of this, a recent bodybuilders competition turned political as the ruling and opposition parties locked horns on this. Usually, we see Bharatiya Janata Party fighting on issues that Hindu gods are not respected and their feelings are hurt. But the opposite happened and Congress did the fight.
Going into detail, the National BodyBuilding Championship was held in Ratlam City in Madhya Pradesh. However, the female bodybuilders are said to have posed flaunting their muscles in front of Lord Hanuman's idol on the stage.
But the event turned political as the Congress leaders alleged that Lord Hanuman was disrespected and they even purified the stage with Gangajal. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party hit back saying that Congress doesn't like women to progress in sports and hence the controversy started. Both parties are locking horns at each other on this.
Surprisingly, both parties have a valid point to say. Talking about the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, the saffron party asked what was wrong with this. The leaders are saying Lord Hanuman is the epitome of strength and many take inspiration from him and there is nothing wrong with female bodybuilders posing in front of the idol.
On the other hand, the opposition Congress is saying that the event was an insult to Lord Hanuman as the deity is a staunch Bramhachari, and female bodybuilders posing in front of him in bikinis is not acceptable. Having said that, the Congress leaders purified the location with Ganga Jal. Sharing the video of the event, the Congress party asked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan why the BJP leaders disrespect Hindu gods regularly.
"BJP leaders insulted Hanuman ji: In Ratlam, BJP MLA Chaitanya Kashyap and Mayor Prahlad Patel organized an obscene program by placing the idol of Hanuman ji on the stage. Shivraj ji, why does BJP repeatedly insult Hindus?" the Madhya Pradesh Congress asked.
