'Bodyguard' Hero's Bodyguard Joins Shiv Sena

Till recently, he was known as the muscular bodyguard of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Today, he has donned a different dress. Gone are tight-fitting T-shirts and jeans. He is now wearing Khadi kurtas and a saffron scarf. Shera aka Gurmeet Singh Jolly has formally joined the Shiv Sena and the party has made his campaign in charge in Worli.
Shera went to Matoshri, the residence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, and became a member of the party. Uddhav and his son Aditya Thackeray, who is contesting from Worli, welcomed him into the party by wrapping a stole around his shoulder. Shera has been the bodyguard for Salman Khan for over 20 years and has always accompanied him on his shoots and other programs. He is said to be one of the most trusted associates of Sallu Bhai.
Shera would primarily focus on Worli, from where Aditya Thackeray is contesting. This is the first time that a member of the Thackeray family is contesting the elections in Maharashtra.
