Botsa Satyanarayana Targets TDP With Alipiri Issue!
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 April 2023 5:47 PMIt's been around five years since the Kodi Kathi case happened. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who was the then opposition leader was attacked inside the airport. Accused Janapally Srinivasa Rao is still in the case. The case was given to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for investigation and the agency has been probing it for some time.
Recently, the agency is said to have mentioned what Janapally Srinivasa Rao said in his testimony during the questioning. What he said came as a surprise for one and all. He reportedly said that he attacked Jagan with Kodi Kathi so that he would become the Chief Minister with sympathy.
This gave a big opportunity for the opposition parties to target the YSRCP. When the attack happened, the party leaders leveled serious allegations against the then-ruling party TDP. But the accused in the case reportedly said that he did it for sympathy. The NIA also ruled out the conspiracy angle in the attack.
The YSRCP is facing big criticism for this as the opposition parties are aggressively targeting it. Now YSRCP swung into action and hit back at the allegations. Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana expressed his dissatisfaction with a few media outlets carrying out news against the party.
Drawing a comparison with the Alipiri attack on Chandrababu Naidu, Botsa Satyanarayana asked if the attack was planned to gain sympathy. Talking about the Naxal attack, he asked if Chandrababu Naidu planned the attack for sympathy.
If we look at both cases, the Alipiri attack did not impact the elections, whereas the Kodi Kathi case played a role in shaping the election result. Opposition party leader getting attacked became a sensation back then.
