Botsa says Sharmila welcome to enter AP politics
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Jan 2022 1:23 PM GMTFor the first ever time, someone from the YSRCP has spoken about YS Sharmila's threat to set up a political party in Andhra Pradesh to challenge her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Till now, the YSRCP leaders studiously avoided talking about her. Only CM's advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy had just talked about her when she formed the party in Telangana. Otherwise, the YSRCP has largely ignored her.
But now, senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana for the first ever time has opened up about Sharmila. He said Sharmila was free to form her political party in Andhra Pradesh and that it would have no impact on the YSRCP. What more? He said that her party would be one more of the many parties fighting on the AP turf.
Though Sharmila has not categorically said that she would contest from Andhra Pradesh, she had dropped enough indications that she is on a collision course with her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, her YSRTP formed in Telangana has ended up a non-starter and has failed to create any buzz.
Botsa said that she was free to form a political party in AP if she wants to and added that she would end up as one among the many parties in the state. Though she is being propped up by the anti-Jagan media, there is little chance of her making a mark in AP, where her estranged brother YS Jagan is in power.
