Bridge collapses while a Truck passes through!

Strong currents in the Chandra river led to the collapse of the supply bridge for the under construction Rohtang Tunnel project in Himachal Pradesh on Monday. This incident took place while a truck was crossing it. Officials had rescued the truck driver.
DN Bhatt who is the Chief Engineer of Rohtang Tunnel Project says there was no loss of life. He assures that the truck will be saved and bridge would be restored within five days.
The 8.8 kilometer long Rohtang Tunnel comes under the Rohtang Pass on the Leh-Manali highway. This is going to be one of India's longest traffic tunnels.
Due to snow, The Rohtang Pass will remain closed for six months. If the construction of Tunnel is completed, Then traffic could flow throughout the year.
