Britain Opts To Use Digs To Detect The Disease

Ever since the fatal disease originated from the Dragon country China many researchers and nations across the world are not leaving any stoned unturned to smell the symptoms of the disease.

In the wake of this tough situation, Britain took a step ahead and came up with a decision to train the dogs so that they can smell the patients who have the symptoms of the disease.

If this bold and brave step from Britain turns effective, this will be the biggest breakthrough that will, in turn, result in finding the patients without much cost and equipment.

To fund the groundbreaking decision, Britain released around 5lakh pounds to fund the research for which London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Durham University, and a British charity, Medical Detection Dogs will join their hands.

This latest development gives some hope as earlier dogs have successfully managed to detect diseases like cancer, Parkinson's disease, and Malaria.

For this, dog breeds like Labrador and cocker spaniels which posses high sensing ability will be trained rigorously to detect the patients based on their odour.
