Bullet found in Student's Bag at RGIA
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Aug 2015 5:18 AM GMTCISF Personnel took a 22-Year-Old Student into custody after a bullet was detected during the scanning of his cabin baggage at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday.
Sai Chaitanya who hails from Khammam is pursuing Masters in USA. He was intercepted by the CISF sleuths just before he was about board a Chicago-bound flight at RGIA.
A live .9mm round was found in Sai Chaitanya's bag during the scanning of his cabin luggage. Soon, He was detained for questioning to find out how he obtained it.
During the questioning, Sai Chaitanya revealed that this particular bullet was part of ammunition purchased by his roommate in USA and it was by mistake he carried it to India.
RGIA Inspector confirms 'Made In USA' branding on the bullet and a letter sent by Chaitanya's roommate about the purchase apart from accepting it was left in his bag by mistake. Further investigation into the incident is under progress.
