After a 21-year-old man from Bengaluru was taken into custody by the cops, another youth was arrested in this case. Reports say that the second accused was arrested based on the information shared by one Vishal Kumar Jha, a student from Bengaluru.
The initial reports say that both accused who were arrested by the Mumbai cops are familiar with each other. While the 21-year-old was arrested in Bengaluru, the other accused, a girl hails from Uttarakhand. It is also said that the woman is being shifted to Mumbai for further investigation.
Making a big breakthrough in the sensational case, the Mumbai cops arrested a third suspect in connection with the case. The third person is also a youth. So far, the suspects arrested in the case are youths.
The issue which is dubbed as 'Bulli Bai' controversy refers to an app where the pictures of Muslim women belonging to various professions will be auctioned. The women will have no idea about their pictures being auctioned without seeking their consent.
Reports say that the victims include media personnel, activists, and students who belong to the Muslim community.
The three suspects are facing allegations of using the pictures of Muslim women from various fields and creating a platform for auctioning the pictures. After editing the pictures, the same were auctioned on the platform.
