Yorker Specialist Jasprit Bumrah has been a part of the Indian bowling attack since his inception into the team. He played a crucial role in Indiaâs famous wins on various occasions. The Indian speedster has now entered the history books by becoming the fastest Indian bowler to reach the 100 wickets milestone overseas. He took just 23 matches to reach the milestone. This is a special one to remember for the bowler. Even the legendary bowlers could not reach the milestone.
Jasprit Bumrah made his international debut in the longest format against South Africa in 2018 and played 25 matches so far. Out of the matches, he played 23 matches overseas against various opponents. As one more coincidence, he achieved the milestone in South Africa, the nation against which he made the debut.
In the first match between India and South Africa in Centurion, Bumrah claimed three wickets which helped him to reach the 11 wickets milestone overseas. He did play his role in India registering a historic win in South Africa.
B. Chandrasekhar(25 matches), Ashwin(26 matches), Bishan Singh Bedi(28 matches), Javagal Srinath(28 matches), Mohammed Shami(28 matches) are the other Indian bowlers who achieved the rare milestone.
