The news of senior TDP leader Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao doing a bungee jump during his New Zealand vacation is being hotly discussed in the political circles back in Vijayawada. Uma, currently on a vacation, has taken to adventure sport in a big way. He posted his pics preparing for and doing the bungee jump. Doing the bungee jump is no mean task especially for those in fifties. But, Uma not just did it, he also seemed to have enjoyed it fully.
The people back home are commenting that Bungee jump is okay. But when will he take to the political jump. Bonda Uma is planning to jump into the BJP. He has realised that the Telugu Desam has little future and it is time to take the plunge. He has decided to join the BJP at the right time and work to mobilise support for it. He is also in touch with Kapu leaders from the state and most of the Kapu leaders have decided to leave the TDP. Once he is back from the vacation, Uma is expected to take a call on his political future.
One of the strongest backers of Chandrababu, Uma now appears to have changed his political preferences. During the current tour, he has refused to talk politics and has shown no interest in meeting TDP supporters. All these are pointers to his joining the BJP, say those in the know.
