The Mahbubnagar bus tragedy on Wednesday also demanded the lives of Karnataka State Mega Fans’ Association president, Venkatesh Yadav, and his sister.Venkatesh, had been a die-hard Chiranjeevi fan and was instrumental in organizing events in Karnataka, according to the actor’s aide.

35-year-old Anitha M. and her 45-year-old cousin brother Venkatesh Yadav were travelling to Hyderabad with her daughter’s wedding invitation, which they meant to give personally to Chiranjeevi. Wedding bells turned into a death knell, however, for the duo, who had taken the ill-fated bus from Mahbubnagar, were burned alive.

Expressing shock over Venkatesh’s death, Chiranjeevi said, “I knew him well and he was very close to me. What happened to him should not have happened. I’m shocked and in grief after losing a person like Venkatesh.”

After the incident, film producer and Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law Allu Aravind visited Venka¬tesh’s family at their residence on Wednesday even¬ing, claiming the family had been close to them.He promised to look after Venkatesh’s children’s education. He added that he would personally take care of the family’s other responsibilities and commitments

A public relations official from SKN, that represents Geetha Arts, said, “They will do the needful.”
