Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari has been associated with the party for a very long time. Earlier, he served as the chief of the party when the saffron party was in opposition. When the party came to power he was given the key portfolio of Road Transport & Highways. In the next term too, he retained his post.
It is no wonder that Nitin Gadkari was given the portfolio. He has a great legacy of leaving his mark in constructing roads and flyovers. The people of Maharashtra will not forget the piece of work he has done as a State Cabinet Minister.
During his stint, he constructed many flyovers including the iconic high-speed expressway of the Mumbai - Pune Expressway. The flyover also marks the first six-lane expressway in the country. His close association with RSS also played its role in Gadkari getting key importance in the Union Cabinet without any doubt.
Despite all these factors. The saffron party shocked him by not including him on the parliamentary board. It came as a surprise for everyone and added fuel to the debate that the BJP might be in plans to distance itself from the RSS to spread its wings geographically.
Days after missing his spot on the party's Parliamentary Board, Nitin Gadkari stunned everyone with his comments. Saying that the Infrastructure in India has a lot of potential, Gadkari wondered why the government is not taking the required decisions.
Aiming a gun at the Union government, Nitin Gadkari opinioned that the government is not taking decisions on time which is the key issue. He made these comments while talking about the importance of having alternative materials to bring down the costs.
"You can make miracles...and the potential is there...My suggestion is the future of Indian infrastructure is very bright. We need to accept good technology, good innovation, good research and successful practices in the world and in the country," Nitin Gadkari said.
