The superpower country United States aka Big Brother has a big problem in the form of growing 'Gun Culture'. In the recent past, several gun incidents were reported giving rise to a demand to tackle the gun culture.
As one such incident, a shooting incident has rocked the San Jose region in California. After a shooter had opened gun firing, not less than eight victims have breathed their last on Wednesday.
The shooting took place in the light rail yard when a transit employee opened fire around 7 AM. Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority runs the light rail yard. A transit employee is believed to have opened fire and killed himself later.
Speaking to the reporters, Russell Davis, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Deputy said that, the incident resulted in several casualties and injuries. The threat is over, as the shooter was dead.
After receiving information on the shootings, the deputies of the Santa Clara County Sheriff rushed to the spot. By the time, they reached the buildings, the shooting was going on.
Media reports claimed that the gunman was identified as 57-year-old Sam Cassidy. An investigation is underway and more details are awaited. There is no information on the motto behind the shooting.
