The Congress seniors campaigning in Dubbak are working overtime to impress party affairs incharge Manickam Tagore. They are working overtime for the party candidate in the bypoll and are touring the villages intensively. They are meeting leaders, holding small meetings, conducting road shows and are talking to strategists late into the night.
They are doing everything they can to impress Tagore, who is fast emerging as a tough task master. He is said to be monitoring the movement of every leader. Party working president Revanth Reddy has camped in Dubbak and is working very hard. Ditto with Uttam Kumar Reddy. One has never seen Uttam Reddy working so hard any time in the past. As for former deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha, he has already scored over the others by bringing in Cheruku Srinivas Reddy into the party. Cheruku Srinivas Reddy was in the TRS and has joined the Congress after being denied a party ticket. He and his family are extremely popular in Dubbak and his father was a two-time MLA from Dubbak. His family base and the Congress vote bank would be a great asset for the party, say observers.
